Abstract:To investigate the effect of feeding frequency on the growth performance of Triplophysa siluroides cultured in recirculating aquaculture system,two-year-old T. siluroides with average body weights of (88.26±5.38)g were randomly allocated into six groups. The fish were cultured for 61 days and fed once every two days,once(8:00 am or 8:00 pm),twice, three times, four times per day.The results showed that there was no significant difference in survival rate among experiment groups. With the increase of feeding frequency, the weight gain rate(WGR) of T. siluroides in 0.5 meals/d,two meals/d,three meals/d and four meals/d groups were significantly higher than that of one meal/d group(P<0.05), and the specific growth rate(SGR) of two meals/d group was significantly higher than that of others(P<0.05),while the feed coefficient ratio(FCR) was significantly lower than that of 0.5 meals/d,one meal/d,four meals/d groups(P<0.05).As for morphological indexes, the visceral body ratio in the two meals/d group was significantly higher than that in the 0.5 meals/d group(P<0.05).The results showed that the optimal feeding frequency of T. siluroides was recommended to be two meals per day in recirculating aquaculture.
