Abstract:The aim of this experiment was to pay attention to and organize the research dynamics of aquatic products in order to adjust the research direction and promote the productivity. In this paper, we used CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) and WOSCC (Web of Science Core Collection) as data sources, and "Spotted scat" and "Scatophagus argus" as subject search terms, and the collected data from 1986 to 2023 (since the beginning of the record) were analyzed and analyzed. Using "Scatophagus argus" and "Spotted scat" as the subject search terms, and 130 Chinese and 125 English articles collected from 1986 to 2023 (since the beginning of the record) as the objects of the study, we analyzed the development status and trend of the research on spotted scat based on the perspective of text quantification by using the latest version of the Citespace 6.1.R6 tool. The research reports on spotted scat gradually increased, and the number of domestic and international publications showed an upward trend. Research organizations at home and abroad tend to collaborate with other organizations with which they are familiar to publish articles, while forming relatively independent groups with no particularly strong ties between the groups. Through the analysis of keyword co-occurrence and emergence mapping, it was found that the basic theory and application of reproduction, sex control, disease prevention and control, and breeding technology were the research hotspots. It is predicted that the enhancement of breeding technology, feed R&D and species improvement will become the future research direction. In conclusion, the study of spotted scat is in an active development stage and has a good research prospect.
